No Such Thing as Good News

I've blogged a good bit this year over the economic boom hitting Germany.  At the beginning of this week...came the news that this was the best period in twenty years.  If you sat and asked a German at the local pub about this....they just wouldn't be that happy over this.

Today?  More news came out....suggesting that the guy in the pub might not be totally wrong.  The inflation rate for Germany is also accelerating as well.   In fact, it's faster than any of the other European countries as well.  But you have to add this new statistic to the pile as well....the economy for the next year is expected to grow by 3.7 percent.  In most countries....this would really spin folks up and make them happy....but a German would just sit in the pub and ask for another beer.

For almost any other country in Europe....folks would be happy and really motivated.  For a German....it's hard to find good news....especially on the economy.
