Cost of the German ID Card Going Up?

Yes.  Reported by N-TV this afternoon. 

The current price of a German national ID card is 28.80 Euro (roughly $33). 

The new price for 2021?  37 Euro (roughly $42).  A hefty rise.  Luckily, it's good for ten years.
