Well....to be honest, you might get a sweat up if you bundled up in sweatshirts, and just sipped warm beer.
The red-tint thing going overboard? Yeah, but until they invent a personalized color scheme where you can adjust it yourself.....this is their game.

The game is called understanding statistics, and apparently it's very difficult for a lot of people to grasp.

Factoring in the fact that the highest April temperature from 91-21 was 14.6C, 25C is substantially higher. Thus, it's coloured to represent relative differences from seasonal expectations. Hence the Red.
This started about a decade after hi-def TV came out and became popular in Germany. Other obvious things I started to notice (beyond weather colors)...more far-out colors used by news people/moderator (dark green, bright red, etc) for clothing.
About 3 years ago, standing in a Media-Markt shop...I stood and overheard a customer trying to get advice about a hi-def TV he bought. He wanted the store rep to explain a 'F-type' button or menu item where he could press the button to tone down colors. I knew right away what he was getting at, but the store rep was like....here is the color menu button but it wasn't made for a 'quick' flip of one button....from heavy-color to light-color.
The amazing thing....for decades, both public TV and commercial TV in Germany...simply had a normal map and noted with a numbers scheme, then one day...noted that color perception was the way to go.
I should also note...DARK blue is like a Siberia-type color now.
My point is it's not alarmism, but it's a reflection on the lack of mental energy people are willing to expend on anything these days - largely to the instant swipe mentality of social media. Quick glance - red - tells me it's going to be hotter than usual. Information quickly absorbed.
