Friday Morning in Frankfurt

Executions on the street....are something that we don't have in Germany.  At least until yesterday.

Down in the Sachsenhausen area of Frankfurt.....near some medical center yesterday around mid-morning.....cops got called to a call on the sidewalk.  Dead.

The best they can say presently is that he was on his way to the office, shot by multiple bullets, and no one witnessed anything.  Even the precise time of the shooting is not really clear.  No one heard the shooting sounds....so you kinda assume that this was a hit-job with a silencer.

Angry customer?  Frustrated lover?  Upset girl-friend?  Disturbed over a bad deal?

It's hard to say what happened.  Incidents like this....don't usually occur in Germany.

Frankfurt has a reputation over the past fifty years.  It's a place where you typically go to do some business....whether legal or illegal....and then you leave.  It's not the dream city that some envision....like for Koln, Heidelberg, or Potsdam.  Frankfurt is kinda like Chicago.  It has just enough culture and glamor to keep people interested.....but nothing of real substance.  It has a four-star landscape.....but it's got urban decay as well.  Graffiti is a major issue with the city, as is hard drug abuse, homelessness, and the underworld.

Maybe the cops will stumble across the cause for this execution on the street.  But we might be shocked that he just simply screwed over a hundred people, who all had just cause to shoot him.
