Five German News Stories

 1.  Locally (my area of Wiesbaden), they took down the forest fire warning signs (we were at some serious stage where the drought made things a bit high on fire potential).

Presently, with a ton of rainfall for the past four weeks....everything is 'pure green' at present.  Supposed to be another major storm front for tonight.

2.  Harry Kane 'drama' continues on with FC Bayern Munich.  It does appear he'll sign with the team.

3. Some prediction by the German Health Ministry of a bad fall flu-season.

4.  Starting in 2024, milk containers at grocery stores will have a deposit cost figured, and to get your money back....you have to retain and turn in the containers.  Lot of grumbling going on about this, with spoiled milk 'smell' being openly discussed as a home and grocery problem.

5.  Mannheim to Frankfurt regional train-line to be shut-down for part of 2024 for renovation.  Bahn says they will have 150 buses operating for five months, and taking people up and down the route.
