ASAP Rocky Free?

Well....technically, the court is still reviewing the case....but one part of the episode fell apart for the prosecution, and the judge gave Rocky some freedom.  Technically, the case continues....but he's out of the country at this point.

So what happened in the Swedish case?  The key aspect to convict Rocky was this bottle thrown, and the prosecution team needed the two lady witnesses to confirm that.  Well...one said in a plain way....there was a bottle thrown, but she didn't see where the bottle came from or who throw it.  As she said.....it was very chaotic.

Done?  The prosecution team is probably angry over how this turned out and still trying to build a case.  Rocky?  I don't think he will ever return to Sweden.

What was this really all about?  This Swedish guy who got into a stalking mode.....was obviously high on something.  Rocky's bodyguard said the glossy-eye thing was apparent, and the guy simply wasn't making sense or acting in a coherent manner.  Based on the video I've seen....the guy was high on something (maybe weed....maybe something better than that).

So here's the thing, for those of you who travel in Europe.  There are a lot of people existing now....who do their recreational drugs in the morning, afternoon and evening.  You could spend 364 days in Berlin and never encounter a doped-up guy who was a threat.  Then on the 365th day, here's this doped-up character trying to steal your camera, bash you with a rock, or insulting you in the midst of forty people.

Is this becoming a problem with recreational use of drugs?  If people were doing this in their house or apartment....no one would care.  But as people begin to sample drugs at noon, and wander around your district in some daze at 1 PM....you have to wonder how exactly this open-use of drugs will develop and if threats will become a weekly event.

The Swedes having a long term problem?  No one wants to admit that, but if you got two-hundred guys doped-up in this town where Rocky was, and acting like zombies....tourists will eventually wake up and say the magic word....no-go area or no-go town.

Finally, my word of warning....if you perceive that you've got a stalker or doped-up nutcase around while walking in Europe....step into a hotel or restaurant and call for a taxi.  Don't anticipate the police will be much of a help, and that your safety matters more than getting lectured by some local intellectual.
