Six German News Stories

 1.  Focus brought up this story....Last Generation female activist who was arrested for blocking a street a number of weeks ago....says in court last week....she's so fired-up for the cause and worried over CO2....that she had herself sterilized to 'save' the Earth.

Age?  35.

An irrational fear taking control?  More or less.  What Focus suggests...there are a few folks who have fallen for the propaganda and gone this route.

If you follow the 'True Believer' (book written by Eric Hoffer in 1951) concept, as mass movements bulk-up and proceed, there is a period of growth and acceptance....then you peak-out, and reality falls into play.  For these sterilization folks, it means a harsh reality coming and some serious depression-like issues down the road.

2.  Another Russian ammo dump blown up in the Ukraine over the weekend.

3.  Fridays For The Future 'kid' activists were up at the Rugen area....protesting over the weekend about the liquid natural gas (LNG) terminal being built.

4.  The Anne Will public forum show from last night (Sunday)?  Climate policy.  Basically, it was a full-hour of blunt arguments.....over climate policy arguments, and if you weren't charged-up before....you probably won't be charged-up now.

From my prospective?  Virtually everything they have on the table to be discussed....has a cost-value assigned.  This is not a one-year and done type cost-value....it's probably for an entire decade, and rises in each year.  Everyone is giving up something of value, and convincing people of this priority of less money and less 'status'....probably doesn't sell.

5.  Late last week, a refugee shelter here in Hessen caught on fire.  Officials now say the steel building structure fire was arson.  Sizeable place....200 residents were there.

6.  Finally, I was out yesterday in Wiesbaden....stopping after a long walk for a banana split ice cream and a bottle of water.  Cost?  11.50 Euro, $12.66.  Yeah, last year it would have been 20-percent less.

Next door was a Spanish steakhouse.  Sign on the front, for a 200 gram rump steak platter (without the drink)....38 Euro, roughly $42.  That would have been 30-to-35 percent less a year ago.

Don't even bring 1995 prices.
