7 December 2023: 6 German News Stories

 1.  Bahn (railway) is on strike tonight...24 hours, to Friday evening.

2.  Frankfurt local public transport announced that a shortage of drivers (buses and subways) exist.....so timetables are going to be cut in some fashion.

3.  Growing anxiety going on about the newly developed property tax model.  Constitutional Court may dump it.

4.  VW says that their Golf  gas engine models....are basically sold-out.  You could order one and it'd take over a year before delivery can take place.

5. META study completed over effective nature of Covid masks for kids.  Zero proof of mask helping.  

6.  Taking the paint off the Brandenburg Gate, caused by Last Generation  activists.....cost approximately 115,000 Euro and 3 months of effort.

I would make the Last Generation activists pay the cost of cleaning and restoring a national historic landmark.

It used to be if you (as an American GI) were drunk and damaged a autobahn rail, there was a bill to eventually come around (at least in the 1980s).

I think presently, if you collide with a light-pole or some city fixture...most German cities will attempt to get you to pay.

In the case of L-G activists and that airport delay business in the summer, the airlines and airport are trying to get damages paid (would be in the million-plus range).
