1. Hubert Aiwanger, head of the Free-Voters Party, found dead in a hotel. Around Bavaria, fairly well known individual. Autopsy to be done.
From the top ten parties in the country....Free-Voters are in the group....mostly a big deal in Bavaria.
2. The Berlin-coalition (led by the Linke Party, to include the SPD and Greens)....won't put out their 'agreement' until the first week of January.
3. WELT piece this AM....strong hint that even if the Ukraine war ends....most Ukrainian refugees in Germany have no intention of returning 'home'.
Number? 1.3-million with 'status' in Germany. I would take a humble guess that around 100,000 live in Germany on the 'black' (undeclared-no-status).
I had electrical work done this week in the house. Work was done by a Ukrainian guy.
4. Sugar tax? Kinda stalled....mostly by the CSU Party membership.
5. BDK made a public statement yesterday....that they anticipate fairly violent riots on New Year's eve (31 Dec).
