TV Program Suggestion

There was a good piece from ZDF (public German TV, Channel Two) last night, featuring Professor Christopher Clark.  If you haven't ever viewed a Clark history piece....he's a non-German who has an intense curiosity of German history.  So ZDF packaged up a 43-minute documentary with him.  I would strongly recommend viewing the piece, but note....it's all in German.  It features a lot of video from the 1920s and 1930s.

The topic last night?  Anti-Semitism actions in the 1920s and 1930s.  It discusses a lot of the landscape against the Jews in Germany.

The curious piece which I felt needed to be brought out and discussed.....more than 100,000 Jews came out in 1914 and WW I....to fight for the 'Fatherland', with 10,000 dying by the end.  As the Nazis raced into their era....they failed to see the Jews as part of the German 'machine'.

So if you do have decent German skills and had some interest over the period....the video clip is worth watching, and if not.....the historical clips from the 1920s/1930s would be of some interest.
