10 Oct 2026: Germany: 6 Stories

 1.  First big AfD push for the fall period....asking for a comparison of German funding for Ukraine....compared against infrastructure, school building, and pension funding.  CDU/CSU, Greens and SPD don't really want to talk over this agenda.

It's roughly around 100-billion Euro that Germany sends to Ukraine, and AfD is suggesting that it's time to halt the practice.

2.  Not in all cases....but in a majority....if you have a E-car and want to charge it up at a public spot....it often requires three apps, two charging cards, and the ability to study tariff tables.

So yesterday....regional court in Munich said 'enough'....simplify the 'mess'.

3.  Berlin region.....car goes head-first into a group of four E-scooter riders.....killing all four. Accident occurred in evening hours (darkness), and the car was passing another vehicle....probably not seeing the approaching E-scooter riders until the last moment.

4.  RyanAir has quit the Bremen Airport....saying escalation of fees makes it non-profitable.

5.  In case you thought that the riots in France were the ONLY big deal....France is now noted as heavily indebted and has to raise almost 80 billion euros (about $100-billion) a year just for interest payments alone.

Presently....France is currently in the same status as Greece was in 2007/2008.

6.  Saxony-Anhalt speculation...in the vote to get the AfD candidate as Premier-President....it's believed that several CDU members of the state assembly....voted for the AfD guy (in secret).
