Last week in Wiesbaden, we had some school where the teens decided to hold a 'motto-party'. I had to ask my German wife what this was.
So....a 'motto-party' is where someone defines the character of the party. As she suggested, it might be a disco thing, a toga-party, army-clothing, beach-attire, Scottish kilts, etc.
In this case of last week....the 'motto-theme' ended up being gangsta-type stuff....with fake pistols.
Apparently, the teens (several of them) showed up in the teacher parking lot, and pistols were shown, and folks got freaked out. Fed forces were called, and a number of German police (probably over twenty) showed up.
The organizing duo for this party? They ended up with their parents house being raided/searched.
Yeah, it appears that the court system will be involved, and some type of 'attention' will be put on the folks who organized this.
I asked my German wife....if there was common sense lacking and she responded if this had been our kid....they would have been kicked-out of the house.
