Over the past week or two, I've essayed a bit over Corona in Germany and the suggestion that more ban rules will start to be discussed. Well, N-TV brought out this topic here in the AM today, and this is the short blunt situation brewing.
The German federal government is discussing with state governments....the idea of a travel ban in districts. If the numbers went up in your city or 'county'....then a ban would go into play and keep you from exiting the region. The federal leadership wants a national game-plan (standard).
How this would work if your job was in another city, or you were a university kid but from another state? Unknown.
The curious side of this discussion is that this travel ban could occur in a very short period of time....where you reach the serious stage on a Saturday, the ban is announced on Sunday, and in effect on Monday morning. So a plan 'B' situation would be difficult to imagine.
People cooperating with this idea? Maybe in April, you could have gotten the bulk of Germans to agree to this idea. Today? I might suggest only two-thirds of German society being agreeable to something like this....for a two-week period.
All of this maneuvering toward a second-wave situation? More or less.
