Over the past month, I've essayed a couple of times over motorcyclists in Germany being hyped up about potential bans occurring and affecting them.
Well, over the weekend, a massive biker demonstration occurred in Leipzig. 16k motorcyclists showed up on Sunday to complain about the potential new rules.
MDR (public TV from the Leipzig region) carried a good report over the demonstration.
It was way more than the planning crowd had expected, and eventually did shut down the entire downtown area.
The various ideas being discussed? Some have to do with Sunday/holiday motorcycle bans....some have to deal with noise levels....some have to do with potential confiscations. So far, the federal government hasn't gotten too far on this effort, and it might end up being a state-by-state situation for resolving the mess.
