As of yesterday, the German Federal Election Commission wrapped up one key part of the 26 September election.....the political parties given the 'green-light' to be on the ballots.
Total number? 53. Yeah, it's a fair sum of parties.
Parties likely to get seats in the Bundestag? CDU-CSU, SPD, Greens, FDP, Linke and AfD. The other 46 parties in the running? A wasted effort for the most part. You can figure around 1-million to 1.5-million votes for parties which have no chance in the system (minimum of 5-percent of federal voting).
