Fulda Story

Around two years ago, I essayed a piece over an unusual assault and shooting in the region (Fulda).

The basic story was (April 2018) in the early AM hours before a bakery operation opened up....this guy came and demanded 'attention'.  It was a 19-year old Afghan immigrant guy.  No one states his state of mind, if alcohol or drugs were involved, or his background prior to the incident.

A bakery delivery guy had arrived, and in the minutes that passed....the migrant guy focused on the delivery guy, and hit the guy in the head with a rock in his hand....seriously injuring the guy.  Again, no one can say if the delivery guy said much to the migrant guy, or insulted him, or tried to suggest 'patience'.

After this confrontation....police got called...arriving a few minutes later.  They instructed the guy to back off.  That more or less failed, with the migrant guy taking one of their batons in the physical exchange.  At this point, one of the police pulled his weapon, and gave a warning....resulting in no conclusion, and as the guy advanced....he was shot dead (more than one shot fired).

Since this incident....the case has been under observation.  From the very beginning, the police maintained that every procedure was followed, and this was a self-defense situation.

Well....a year ago (Apr 2019), the case was closed.  Today, the local prosecutor reopened the case, and it'll go through an entire review again.....presumably with new officials.  The odds that it'll be closed again (self defense) in 2021, and reopened for a 3rd time?  I'd say better than 50 percent chance.

Maybe if the policeman had been armed with a taser, or a group of four police sent instead of two....things would have gone a different way.  Why the extreme violence angle prior to opening the bakery?  Unknown, and no one seems to want to answer that part of the story.

Often those people commit crimes in Germany that they would not consider committing in their own county. Sharia law is swift and they know it.

In this case, with the behavior of the guy (around 6 AM)....I would guess he's pumped up on some type of drugs (certainly not weed), and really got aggressive. In this case, local migrants have latched onto the case and the DA is stuck having to find something to say wrong about the actions of the police. The police are likely shaking their heads....at 6 AM...they normally don't have strongly aggressive assault situations.
