Well....it came out today, from the FTI travel bankruptcy....there's around 7,500 Germans stuck in Greece.
That's all? Well....no. There's also a unknown number in Turkey, Spain and Egypt. Wouldn't shock me if the three combined....had around 10,000 Germans also 'stuck'.
What'll happen? Hotels probably have the willing nature to keep them up to the check-out date....but how these folks get home will be curious.
Ending up paying for a return-ticket? Usually so....with some marginal compensation, unless you have travel insurance.
Identical to the 2019 Thomas Cook episode? I hate to bring it up, but yeah.
