ARD (public TV, Channel 1) went and asked the gov't for statistical data.
Since February 2022, the population of Ukrainians in Germany has jumped from 200,000 (pre-war population in Germany) to 1.3-million.
The majority of Ukrainian refugees? Women and children.
Of the 1.3-million....about 855,000 Ukrainians are of working age. It's about 65-perccent who are female from this group.
How many of the 1.3-million get welfare-help? Well....the gov't sys around 723k folks.
The gov't also admits that around 115,000 were over age 65....meaning retired, and thus not on some working status.
How many are working on the German economy? The numbers suggest 187k....with full-time jobs.
Fair amount of hype being generated....suggesting Ukrainians should be denied welfare-money. But if you gaze at the statistics....there's just not much there to get some agreement out of the matter.
