Germans talk a lot about knives, and knife-fights.....something that really didn't exist in the 1980s (before the wall came down).
Well....yesterday in Wiesbaden, over on the east end of town.....cops got called to some loud fight in an apartment. Two older guys. By the time they got there.....there wasn't much need for them, and they called up the ambulance. One guy was dead already and the other would be dead shortly....something of a knife-fight.
No one says much yet over what the argument was about, and we may never know that part of the story (might have been a debt, an accusation, a woman, or just drugs making them do stupid things).
One guy is reported to be in his late 50s, and the other early 40s. Some reports indicate the two were 'together' .
Why increased knife-fights or display of knives as a weapon? This isn't something that Germans can really explain. It's more of a situation that migrants brought into Germany over the past decade. Germans even make jokes over Russians and their knife collections.
