It's rather comical....but you to remember that we are still in a serious amount of Covid-ban-rules....even if the garden centers were opened on Monday, and furniture shops are open.
So the Wiesbaden cops, on a routine basis....show up at local hotels, and ask for the listing (who is checked in), and then they go to ensure you are on a legit business trip. Anything surrounding tourism, or anything else....is forbidden.
Well....Friday evening of last week, cops show up at a city hotel (finer establishment), and they find this one large room rented. They go up, and here are are seven people.
Cops ask some questions.
It's a birthday party for a local guy, and six buddies are there. Yep, they couldn't all meet at the guy's house, because of the ban-rule list. So they rented the room, and met there.
I pondered upon this. There are a hundred wooded locations around Wiesbaden that you could have driven to....brought out a picnic table....set up some booze and quietly partied without the cops stumbling upon you.
What'll happen to the seven? Court appearance, and probably some fine in the neighborhood of 200 Euro each.
