From last night (Sunday evening), ARD (public TV, Channel One) ran their weekly open chat forum (live).....the 'Anne Will Show'. Topic and guests? Well....this was a group of mostly politicians and a journalist or two....discussing the landscape after the 26th September election.
You see....there's some hot topics sitting there (the housing crisis, the discussion of the rental 'brake', new taxes to be created, wealth redistribution, and the fresh new refugee crisis).
I'm not going to write a 50-line essay over this....it'd be a waste of time.

What I'll generally say is that there is this bold new era coming in a month or two, and with the new tax structure being dreamed up....the recession period will be a bit longer than expected. Experimentation with redistribution will occur, and I'd go to suggest that in two to three years....it'll be proclaimed a successful failure, and both major parties (CDU and SPD) will find themselves lacking appreciation over their efforts.
Oh, and that rental 'brake' hype? I'd prepare myself for a rapid slowdown in construction for apartment buildings, with the emphasis mostly on houses and condos for the foreseeable future.
