Does the format that ARD-ZDF and RTL TV...have for political debate for the upcoming election.....seem to rig a outcome?
Well....the more you examine this....it is rigged. The CDU-CSU candidate will ONLY debate the SPD candidate. There is an effort to have the Green candidate debate the AfD candidate.....but Habeck is saying 'no-way'.
So I'll take this to analysis....saying that CDU-CSU, with the SPD Party....will take around 55-percent of the national vote (being helped by the debate arrangement). The SPD in this arranged deal....probably gets up around 25-percent of polling....dissolving the Green Party chances (probably dropping them to around 8-percent in the national vote).
Fair? Well....some would argue that it's unfair. My humble view is that the news media realizes after 3.5 years of crappy coalition efforts....maybe having a CDU-CSU/SPD coalition would be better for everyone.
Adding to the mess? The CSU 'boss' (Soder) has openly said....'no-way' to a partnership with the Green Party.

A bit unfair given the catastrophe left behind by the last CDU led government. Then they blame the people cleaning up the mess.
The economic 'crash' has dumped a lot of criticism onto the SPD-coalition. You add up energy prices, the natural gas crisis, and the urban perception of increased crime....the mentality is 'anyone-but-the-SPD-or-Greens'. Go look at VW, SAP, etc....public needs some type of pro-business 'feeling' and it's not going to get it via Scholz or Habeck.
I would add....one out of five German votes will be for the AfD....that's how disgruntled people have become. They marginally have any real in-depth policies.
If you gaze over at France....it's no better.
Well, basically anyone who was in government during covid is getting punished. But I guess we'll just go back to the pro Russia parties until we're all a part of the next USSR.
Cheers, Comrade!
