Last night via ZDF's late night forum show....'Markus Lanz' (I typically don't watch it because it's so late)....they had a chat with Silke Müller, who is the director of the a school in lower Saxony (Waldschule Hatten).
So she had a pretty harsh chat about the state of schools in Germany.
As she noted.....one out of five German kids in school....have some kind of psychological problem, and need professional help.
She noted around 60-percent of kids (12-to-19) get some regular dose of 'fake-news'. Then she noted around 40-percent of kids believe in some type of conspiracy theories.
She added another six to eight statistical numbers.
Yeah....it was a pretty blunt chat.
I sat and paused over it....noting the psychological issue....thinking. There's zero studies or polls to really prove the point, but it wouldn't shock me if you'd gone back to 1968 to 1978, and asked questions.....you might have had the same number....one in five.
We didn't have fake-news as a kid (1970s)....but we mostly talked about BS-TV shows with fake themes or bogus story-lines.
