I've essayed this search....starting when he overtook four policemen trying to arrest him, and took their pistols, as he escaped.
N-TV does a good job on the current situation.
Around 300 police are still looking for the guy....in a heavily wooded region of southern Germany.
In simple terms, he's lived this 'charmed' life....a bad-boy lifestyle....spending time in jail and youth-detention.
The manifest chatter? Police won't release the manifest, so you can't be sure of much. The comment that it was written by someone else and Yves just had a copy of it? Well, that's part of the story. There was one hint that the manifest has some anti-technology and anti-modernization elements to it.....kinda like the Unabomber guy from the US.
If I were putting odds on the capture? This is a heavily wooded area south of Baden-Baden, and near the French border. This guy is in great health and based on news descriptions....I'd guess that he could handle 20 km hikes in a day....fairly easily. It's possible that he even crossed the Rhine River and made it into the national park area of France.
I noticed last night that the BBC had even given him some status as the 'Forest-Rambo'.
