I watched N-TV (commercial German news) this morning.
Odd story out of Denmark. The government is pursuing this new 'gimmick'.
So you show up as a migrant and ask for asylum in Denmark. You would of course get gov't support. Well....the Danes have decided that this only goes for a limited amount of time (roughly 3 years), and then you need to do honest-work to get the gov't welfare check....meaning if you don't have a honest-job....you get assigned work by the local village/city (busy-work, more or less).
No one says how the work will be invented. My humble guess is that you might be landscaping.
Man-hours being discussed? 37-man-hours per week.
Standing out on the street? It's not going to be accepted anymore.

When i came to Canada there was a similar talk, a high school teacher by the name if Mike Harris became the prime minister of Onatio - Canada most populous province- 15+ million inhabitants , Canada was juat exiting a terrible recession 1992-1993 one when the ruling party was NDP the new democrats, aka the leftmost ruling party Canada ever seen, so the first thing Mike Harris dis was to cut the social benefits aka welfare to a minimum and he also tried to implement a similar policy for people that were chronic welfare recipients, he tried to have them work for their benefits… he never succeeded… si many factors is not worth mentioning …
