Failed Idea

I was in Wiesbaden yesterday....next to the event center (RMCC).  New structure....opened up maybe 2 years ago.

They spent a fair amount of money to put in this 'pool' in front. At the most, it's about four centimeters in depth.  I imagine they felt that people walking by....would remove their shoes and walk in the cool refreshing water.

Instead....it attracts ducks, which crap in the water, and give the tiles this funny greenish color.

On the dry tiles next to it?  Well....there's duck crap all over the place, so I'd tell you to avoid the sidewalk in front of the RMCC entirely.

Probably half-a-million invested into this....total waste.

Talk about waste. The US Senate decided to rename all military installations named after Confederates. Fort Benning is now Fort Moore, Fort Bragg is now Fort Liberty, etc. Cost $32 million. Money used to erase our country's history and bow before the Libtard Gods. Makes me sick.

Back in 2012, I went and did a full-up Gettysburg tour, which had a retired PhD history professor as the guide. Best tour ever.

At the end, we wrap up a museum in the middle of town, and question was posed....what happened in the decade after the war ended?

As he laid it out....lot of PTSD, and within 2 or 3 years...guys from both sides were arriving by horseback/railway. Some were camping out for several days...some stayed at local B&B places. Both sides were meeting and telling their individual stories. That's how Gettysburg built up its legendary status...these war-vets coming and getting things off their chest about the battle and deaths of their friends.

This is why so many didn't see the Confederacy as a evil empire. The commanders? A number of them came up in the Spanish-American War as officers of the US Army.

My wife and I also made the tour at Gettysburg last year. Now the strange part, no where in the souvenir shop could you purchase anything with a Confederate flag. The lady behind the counter said there was a protest a few months before so they had to remove all reference. Next they will probably tear down the statue of Robert E. Lee.

With history and civics emphasis on the decline in high schools, I expect no more than two years of such education in grades one through twelve by 2035. Both the Revolutionary and Civil War will be forgotten by 2040.
