If you drive about 20 minutes south of Geneva, Switzerland.....you come to this French town of Annecy (125,000)....historic in nature.
This morning....Muslim guy goes nuts and attacks some kids at a playground. Two kids and a 79-year old....fairly bad condition.
Video of the attack....just appears to be a bearded guy....maybe 30-to-35....serious intent to hurt people. Syrian guy.....caught by the police.
From my view of the video....my perception is that he was on some type of drug.

Marine Le Pen is the only hope for France, and the AfD is the only hope for Germany.
National Rally, Le Pen's party, decided last year to 'move on', and put a more youthful person up for 'boss' of the party. Guy is Jordan Bardella (turns 28 this year). Next national election? 2027...so he has time to mature and present a different image of the party.
My description of the guy? Does energic speeches....probably a blend of Rand Paul/DeSantis. Zero scandal on the guy, which helps.
Chief topic of French presently is the new retirement age deal. I'd say almost 80-percent of the country is against it. National Rally party probably will make that into the key focus.
On AfD, I wouldn't exactly say the public supports them....it's just that they often take opposing positions to the SPD-led gov't who've stumbled around since the election. Public support for AfD is around 18-percent. One of their problems is goof-ball politicians who seem to remind people in public appearances of stuff out of the 1930s. Another issue...there's always the suggestion that Putin's guys pull the strings of this group (whether true or not).
