Green Party Chatter

The Premier-President (Governor) of Baden-Wuerttemberg (a German state to the SW) stood up and made a comment that got some folks peeved.  The guy, Kretschmann, being a Green Party guy, spoke to this idea that if you were a male immigrant fellow and got into some serious legal trouble.....you ought to be forced from the urban region you live in....to go and live in a highly rural area.

Some observations here:

1.  The national Green Party got all upset that he'd suggest an idea like that, but the regional Greens in this SW state are a bit different from the national Greens.

2.  There's a problem here because the Constitution says you have the right to live in any city or state in Germany.....so you'd have to rewrite this.

3.  The truth of the matter is that if you went and laid out a hundred-thousand migrants and immigrants over the past five years.....close to 99-percent live in big and built-up urban regions (Heidelberg, Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, etc).  The magnet was jobs and areas where your common nationalities already live.  You just won't find small towns 50 miles outside of the urban areas where the migrants settled.

4.  Drugs issues being mostly in the urban areas?  Germans will say this with strong belief.  The problem is that no data exists to prove the comment.

5.  Lets say you did move migrant guys who got into drug troubles and convicted of something....wouldn't the legal system or pro-asylum folks immediately challenge these forced moves?  Yes, without any doubt.

6.   Would the rural folks get all disturbed if suddenly you had twenty migrant guys in drug-troubles or legal-problems....move into your town of 500 residents?  Well....yes, and they would openly challenge the legal idea that they were now stuck with baby-sitting the trouble-makers.

So this is mostly just weekend chatter?  Yes, without much value.  Unless you wanted to reword the Constitution....it has no value.
