Deportee Story

Earlier last week, I discussed this asylum request from the Lebanese crime boss that Germany had deported back three or four months ago, and the guy had shown up in Bremen to ask for official asylum....this time claiming that he was under threat of death back in Lebanon.  It only took two or three days for the BamF folks (immigration control in Germany) to pick up this request, evaluate it, and say 'NO' (it was an extremely quick process).

Well....today (Sunday), we have the next part of the story.

Germany is immediately deporting the guy (appeal process be damned in this case).

A private jet is being used (figure in the range of 20k Euro minimum for this delivery of a single deportee back to Lebanon).   Most of this story is being carried by N-TV (commercial news in Germany).

The end of the episode?  If I were a betting man, I'd suggest that this guy will be back in less than a month, and this time with some fake ID.

The thing about his little empire and crime pattern...it's all drug-related and seems to involve the import and sales distribution into north Germany.  He seems to believe that he needs to be there....to ensure the operation works as designed, and keep customers happy.  Profits?  No one from the police or Interior Ministry seems to want to talk over that part of the story.

One might go and assume that his little group was making into the tens of millions per year.  If they were disassembled and forced back into Lebanon?  Well, that's a big loss of income and I would imagine that they are burning up cash with the habits they picked up over the past couple of years in Germany.
