Turkey and the Twenty

There are several news sites this morning talking about a Turkey story....that on Monday, Turkey will start returning ISIS-fighters back to their 'home-countries'.  In the German case (the number speculated upon is twenty).

As you can imagine, this is a fairly big negative for German politicians to handle.  They don't want them back (even if they are citizens).

The Germans had a law on the books (in the 2015/2016 era) that basically said if you were German, and left for the war.....you couldn't just return.  There would be prison time awaiting you.

If you go back to 2016 and 2017, there were various Germans who'd left for the war....but were now disenchanted with the conflict, the ISIS 'control' mentality, and the stress of life.  They voluntarily returned, were in some holding facility, and getting psychological treatment.  From the description that journalists gave, I'd safely say that they were having PTSD elements, and the ones did grant interviews....weren't enthusiastic any longer over Islam.

As for the twenty Germans that Turkey is talking about?  If they show up.....there has to be some judge in the middle of the situation, and they likely do some jail-time, with psychological help.  War-crime charges?  You would be thinking that someone would want to bring this up, but it never goes anywhere.

If after jail-time and psychological help....these guys are still a threat?  It wouldn't surprise me if some mental evaluation were to occur, and those who seem permanently unbalanced...would end up in a mental facility for the rest of their life.
