Individual states in Germany have authority over what they ban or allow, in the Corona period. So I noticed this morning....following HR (regional Hessen public TV), that some bans had been lifted.
I should note this....the bans only lift because the rate of infection has decreased to a great extent. The minute that the rate of infection goes in a sharp upward trend.....as you can imagine, the bans will return.
So, starting on the 15th of the July, if you had a friend in a rehab clinic or hospital....you can go and visit them. Prior to this, you kinda had to 'sneak' over and meet in their park or smoking area (yeah, it was basically illegal by the hospital view).
For trade shows, musical concerts, and theater/kino operations, the five-sq-meter rule goes away for seating purposes. If you follow commenting on movie releases and kino operations, it's pretty crappy and they are certainly being hurt by the virus business. Older Germans are marginally taking the risks.
Sports events are now opened back up, but a three-meter-distance rule is in place.
Public bar-b-q's? Now acceptable. On this, I kinda admit that a number of Germans had violated the rule over the past month, and police trying to encourage people to avoid this....fell upon deaf ears.
So the only thing that wasn't touched or lifted off the ban rules? Dancing events. I have my doubts that this will be lifted in 2020.
How quick could the bans return? I could see all of these bans occur within two weeks very easily....if infection rates slide back up.
