Back in April, everyone in a position related to the government or medical establishments were hyped up to acquire facial masks.
At the time, you could sit there and predict....criminal behavior was going to get into the middle of this.
So today....ARD (public TV, Channel One) talks about this situation....fakes masks. It's a good report and I'd recommend a review of it.
Right now, they figure around 800k were crappy masks, and simply couldn't be certified for anything. This is the Ministry of Health saying this over masks that they procured.
Counterfeit certificates? Well, that got into the mix as well.
Various hospitals and clinics went down the same route....buying products that simply weren't going to meet the conditions. So you have to sit back and wonder....in all those hospitals where doctors and nurses got the virus.....did a high percentage of them only get the virus because of crappy masks? And is this the same story for Italy and France?

Even a fake/bad mask is better than no mask. Ihre Unterstellung macht für mich keinen Sinn.

If you paid 15-Euro for a superior but fake-mask with counterfeit-certifications, then you were swindled. Doesn't matter if it was the grocery store, fake business front in Czech, or some guy on the streets of Mainz, you probably paid 14 Euro too much for the mask. That's the true problem with this whole episode. Car parts were already in this same category, and you had to be careful to avoid counterfeit parts. Even the German police will admit that counterfeit cigarette packs (on the black market) are now an issue.
