We had a rather unusual event last night in the village next to mine (over the hill).
Some German guy came in with his large aggressive dog (with a muzzle over his mouth) to a pizza shop. The guy got drunk, and aggressive.
At some point, the shop asked him to leave. He removed the muzzle from the dog and directed the dog to attack.
Shop calls the police.
Minutes later....the German police arrive. They take down the drunk German, but he's still yelling at the dog to attack (on the police). German cops end up shooting the dog (no one says if this was inside or outside).
Drunk dragged away. Looking over the mess.....there's probably at least three charges, and potentially a year or more in jail for the events. Just on abusive handling of the dog.....that's probably a year by itself.
Probably the wildest event that village has seen in twenty years.

Does pizza shops serve alcoholic drinks in Germany ? because here in Ontario they are not allowed, you need a special license for that i think is called LLBO and you liability insurance increases quite a bit
EVERY single German pizza shop sells beer/wine. Now, if you bring up the Turkish Kebab shops....no, strictly sodas. This particular village in question...only has three pizza shops (one way out of town), so this has been openly discussed a good bit today. Whole incident revolves around having allowed the guy to drink enough to be rowdy. Shame is that the dog got dragged into the mess. Waking up in the drunk tank, he probably realizes the loss of the dog, and the serious amount of trouble he's gotten himself into.
Yeah is a shame to get an animal killed fir the stupid behaviour of the master, however i beg to ask: how many beers this guy had to be so intoxicated ? I am a 6.2 guy or 191 cm and i would think it takes me easy 8-10 9.5 liters to get me tipsy. Are the pizza owners not responsible one bit ? How much he was served ?
This part of the story was not told. I kinda think he had some drinks before he came to the pizza shop. It was nice weather (sunny) that afternoon, warm enough. He may have sat there and consumed six to eight beers. Remember....a .5-liter in 30 minutes (average guy) would just barely get you to some threshold. If you had four .5-liter beers in 90 minutes, you might be tipsy enough to argue with people. These are German beers (Pilseners are around 5-percent each).
He might have thrown back some Jagermeister in the mix as well. I have the opinion that he was just drunk enough to be disagreeable and trying to pick an argument.
Most German pubs won't serve the 1-liter glasses (you'd just be begging for issues). That's more like what you'd get in Munich at a Beerhall. Such a big threat on losing your license....people would walk over to some pub...consume their beers, and then walk home three hours later.
