Generally, I can only say five things:
1. It was directed against a 16-year old German school kid, in the Essen region (NW Germany).
2. The general situation is that he had some kind of right-wing tendency, and had bomb-making material. I should note....he had not built a bomb (yet).
3. There were anti-Semitic and anti-Muslim literature in his possession (not a crime, but doesn't help his case).
4. He will be treated as a juvenile, not an adult.
5. Finally, a police commentary spoke to the idea that the 'kid' had mental issues (of extreme variety) and that he appeared suicidal in nature.
So bottom line? Cops stepped in at the right moment to prevent some serious bloodshed.
