Just Some Things I Noticed From German News

 1.  All that hype about giving German-produced Cheetah tanks to the Ukrainians?  Massive talk for days and days.....then this morning German government said (via WELT/N-24) that it really doesn't have any ammo for the tanks.  Yeah, were supposed to be 40 tanks turned over.

Does make the government look pretty incompetent.

2.  WELT said this morning....butter is now on the hard-to-find list at German grocery stores.  If you read between the lines.....it's just that people went nuts and bought a large supply (maybe six months worth).

If you asked most Germans.....they are all stocking up.  Wouldn't surprise me if some guys were stocking a whole year's worth of beer.

3.  Via N-24 this morning....some hype that fuel may become a problem in eastern Germany, if the embargo business occurs.  Note, they say eastern side....not the western side.

4.  Normally, Germans would refill their oil tanks at the house till late-summer, for the upcoming winter season.  Watched a N-TV update.....refills are getting called in now (mid-May).

Last week, I observed two delivery trucks in the village.....on a refill routine.

5.  Big shooting in Duisburg, Germany (far north).  Four hit....wounded.

Cops all over this....arresting folks, but then releasing them.

Appears to be a little mafia-war going on.

6.  Census in Germany?  Now scheduled to start 15 May.  11 years since the last one.  Government says around 30-million will be asked questions.  Always been trouble doing this, and Germans don't like to answer the questions.  Expect housing to be among the questions asked.

To make people comply....2022 law created says you MUST participate if the guy shows up to ask questions.

EU mandated this....so they can't really avoid the situation.
