Four words over the past year in the Hessen region have gotten created, and typically it's a curious thing how these new German catch-phrases are noted.
So the first word is 'Verschmutzungsrechte'. This mean pollution 'rights'. This means that you (as a industry) have gone out and paid a legal entity for the rights to continue production of your product. 'Emissions-trading'? Yes.
Typically this word will be thrown around by German teenagers to identify evil companies that still do bad stuff, and simply pay to get around the regulations.
The second new word is 'Bauernbashing'....which means farmer bashing. German farmers will use the phrase to go negative against environmentalists or angry teens who insult them over their farming practices.
The third word is 'Ökodiktatur', which means a ecological dictatorship.....which is again a farmer-created term for environmentalists who hype in a negative way farming practices in use today. Farmers will say that they are being told how to farm....by non-practicing farmers.
Finally, we come to 'Umvolkung'. This is a word that came primarily out of a book written by Akif Pirincci, which used the term created out of the 1930s/1940s....where the Nazi government of Germany would move culturally identified groups around....to fit within a strategy which had no real basis. It's supposed to be a negative term....condemning in some ways....multiculturalism. To suggest that things aren't working....with the high foreigner situation...this phrase would be dragged.
