It's a page four story, but if you travel on German railways....the Bahncards (25-percent discount and 50-percent discount) are all going to be less after February.
The 25-percent discount card will be 55.70 Euro (2nd class) for a full year.....going down from 62 Euro.
The 50-percent off discount card will be 229 Euro a year (was 255 Euro before).
If you are over sixty? There's another discounted amount involved....meaning half-price for either card.
I advocate the Bahn cards, if you figure at least six reasonable trips a year as a minimum. If you do two trips a month as a retiree.....you could be saving 300 to 500 Euro a year easily.

After February? I checked today and the 100 card seems to have already dropped. Will it go down again in march?
The statement I read...simply said February would be the start month. They may have test programs in certain areas going on already. It's like that 365 Euro deal...you can only get that in a couple of highly urbanized regions, or the free ticket deal (very isolated at present, like the heart of Augsburg).
Awesome.
