The German Federal Police, via a well done article with Welt, came out and said that Islamic 'threats' decreased by ten-percent over the past year.
Nationwide? 630 incidents in the past twelve months.
Far-right events increasing in relation to this? Just in general....the far-right police numbers are increasing....having nothing (I think) to tie in with this Islamic decrease.
So I would offer this analytical observation....which leads to three key factors:
1. The German police in general have done a lot of 'homework' over the past three years and just said in a strong way....going this 'threat' direction will just get you deeper into trouble, and land you in jail.
2. A lot of the asylum/migration crowd since 2013...have gone onto language/integration classes, gotten into training programs, and are working. There's some old German saying relating to 'idle-hands', and I think people who are working and earning a decent income....don't go out to jeopardize that situation.
3. Once ISIS got knocked down in Syria and Iraq...the recruitment and hyped-up situation really shifted gears, and public enthusiasm dried up across Germany. I think if attention had been paid to this early on....things would not have escalated so much.
So this leads to the question...is this a trend that should repeat in 2021, and another ten-percent decrease? Unless something happens in the Middle East...I would suggest the trend continues.
