There's a lot of chatter over the past month...concerning the German government idea of pushing the vaccination business out of the 'centers', and allow German doctors (your local guy or clinic) to have the vaccine, and be able to vaccinate as well.
To be honest, if you listen to the discussion....they (the authorities and bureaucrats) believe that the pace will really pick up....if plain regular doctors could do this.
So how do the doctors feel? They don't want to touch this unless they get paid for the service (the vaccine, at least presently, is free and provided by the government). The government would have to write some code into place....requiring the insurance companies to pay for the service.
How much? That's not spoken. I would take a guess that they'd want at least 15 Euro minimum for the service. If you asked most Germans....they wouldn't hesitate to pay the injection fee themselves (as long as this was reasonable).
I might also take a guess that local doctors would only do this on certain mornings, and arrange to have forty folks lined at 9 AM, and wrap this up in an hour.
