Early this AM, business news opened up on the 2020 business loss for Lufthansa (the national airline of Germany).
It amounts to roughly 6.7 billion Euro (figure around 8 billion dollars).
Can they survive a 2021 year with that type of loss? No....not unless they really cutback on employees and airplanes....or they had some return to normalcy.
The odds of normalcy coming? A lot of Germans haven't engaged in thinking over summer vacations (they normally would have started in January with planning, and by this point....probably three-quarters of people would have a deal in the works with some tour company).
So July and August really matter in the big picture of things now.
