Well....the French version of the Senate this week (after all the trouble going on)....went ahead and stamped a justice bill to move forward.
What it says....with a judge granting permission....law enforcement can 'activate cameras, microphones and geolocation data on anyone who seems to be a target individual in organized crime and terrorism investigations.
Goes to Parliament next.
So, if they established a curfew law, and hit the geolocation data.....with 10,000 riot folks out in some town....they'd just send a judge's note....you violated the curfew, and you need to visit us at the court.
This likely to attract German attention? Oh, I'd just say by spring of 2024....this idea will be at the top of German politics.
The next trend? I would imagine virtually everyone in France starts to leave their cellphone at home.
The EU to say something about this? Yeah, that might be interesting.
