Germany: Coronavirus Update (1 March 2020) Morning

If you use Germany's NTV news, there's a couple of updates:

1.  There are 117 cases of Coronavirus in Germany as of this morning.  The bulk of these (66 cases) are in northwest Germany.  Here in Hessen, we are at 8 presently.

2.  So far, no one in Germany has died from it.

3.  The Minister of Development for Germany was on a trip returning from India to Germany (German federal plane) when info was passed that some member of the group had been identified with Coronavirus.  Twelve folks on the plane (one of which was the Minister himself....Gerd Muller).

4.  There is some discussion going on about professional soccer games in Germany, and if they might be cancelled.  No one wants to make the call at this point.

5.  Turkey has banned all flights coming in from Italy, Iran and South Korea.

6.  It was noted last night in Baden-Wurttemberg (the German state to the SW), that the state is asking policemen who attended fests in the past two weeks....to take a self-quarantine situation.  No one is saying much about the numbers.

7.  Toilet paper on the short supply?  For some reason, grocery operations have included this on the list of items that people are buying in bulk.
