There was a great article today from our local Wiesbaden news service (Wiesbadenaktuell)....that talked about the local police academy.
The academy here in Wiesbaden services four regional suburban areas (Mühlheim, Gießen, Wiesbaden and Kassel).
So there is an intense screening program, and they had almost 2,700 applicants....of which they only selected 332 individuals (roughly 65-percent men) for the upcoming new semester.
The program? The commissioner program is more or less a Bachelor's degree program.....designed to take three years. After graduation, you go out to one of these four communities as a full-up policeman.
