Grocery Commentary

My German wife goes grocery shopping at least three times a week (to four stores minimum).

I went along today and it's obvious about the bulk buying of Germans on account of the virus-chatter.

Canned food, noodle area, disinfectant area, and toilet paper....sold out mostly.

The funny thing is that canned food and noodles are mostly from within Germany, or Europe itself. 

I might agree.....a lot of the disinfectant is China produced.  Toilet paper?  Unknown.....maybe it's China but that would a mystery item. 

Oddly, even crackers were on the pick-up list and about half of the supply on the shelves were gone.

More coming?  Probably, but it'll be later in the week, and this will simply worry folks that the shortage has already started. 

Beer, ice cream and chips?  No problem.
