I noticed this in Focus news this afternoon, which was a long and indepth report on factors that pump up your odds of dying from the virus.
First, from all the Germans who've died from the virus at this point.....86-percent were over the age of 70. ONLY 14-percent were under age 70.
Second, which might shock you....smoking doesn't increase your odds of dying from the virus. So far, it lessens your odds (marginally so, as RKI reports it).
Third, high-blood pressure lessens your odds of dying from the virus.
Fourth, heavy and overweight? That increases your odds.
Fifth, asthma and COPD conditions? That increases your odds.
I recommend a read of the report, and obviously....some folks have a lot of time looking at the data and it might reassure some folks about the threat.
