Last year, I wrote an essay or two over the Frankfurt train station incident where a couple of folks were pushed into the path of a ICE train (pulling into the station) and a young boy was the only one who didn't make it out of the path.
The guy responsible? An immigrant guy from Eritrea to Switzerland....from a dozen-odd years before. I won't go over all the details, but it's safe to say from the Swiss newspapers angle to it....this was a guy who'd gone through all the processes, gotten a productive job, lived without any incidents....then in the past three years, started to have mental issues.
After the railway episode, he'd been put into a mental facility in the region and what the experts say (from an HR report)....is that he suffers from paranoid delusions.
The court case will apparently open in four weeks (in Frankfurt), and they suggest it'll last no longer than five days. While serious charges are on the list....HR reports that the doctors will recommend the guy for a permanent placement situation...because he will be a threat for society.
