Over the past three weeks, there's been this Covid story developing in Germany and marginally covered by the news media.
So, this German guy....Winfried Stöcker....resident of Lübeck (30 miles NE of Hamburg)...who is a doctor, researcher of medicine, and entrepreneur....worked on a Covid-19 vaccine.
At some point early in the year....he had his own version developed. Shocking?
He injected himself. Then he injected a hundred or so volunteers.
So he's in trouble right now....his vaccine is NOT approved. He also doesn't have a license to go and test folks.
So a complaint was drawn up by the Paul Ehrlich Institute (PEI). They went to the cops.
The statements by Stöcker on the effective nature? Unproven by any science group so far. Does any university want to stand up and run the tests to prove or disprove this? Well....you don't really see that. The PEI folks? Nope, they don't seem to have interest either.
In a way, it's amusing. Stöcker claims high rates of protection, low costs to manufacture, and not requiring massive freezing as part of the process. Maybe he's right....maybe it's not five-star rocket science but something that a wiz kid in a small lab could create on his own. But you can't say that until the PhD people state it as a fact.
