Germans Leaving Germany Chatter?

I watched N-TV early this AM...with a curious item....ONE out of FIVE Germans are in some thought-process of leaving Germany.

Survey done by the German Centre for Integration and Migration Research (Dezim).

Chief reason?  'Hope for a better life.'

To tell part of the story....they bring up for 2024....nearly 1.2-million Germans did leave.

This group....German-Germans?  Well....no, it gets brought up that a fair number of Turks, Mid-Eastern types and North African folks....are the ones being influenced to consider leaving.

I would imagine if you dug into it....most would admit  that the cost of living (since Covid) has influenced a lot of people to think seriously about leaving.

But they (the survey folks) point out.....just because you think about leaving....doesn't mean you actually leave (my wife....German in nature....will discuss this exit idea at least once a week, but never concludes on where it would be better).

Should this bother the government?  Yeah, it probably is a on-going issue.  You really don't want five-million Germans over a decade to pack up and leave.
