About a week ago (26th of August) over in Einbeck (about 3 hours NE of Frankfurt)....we had this odd event.
Group of kids playing near a canal/stream. Mostly in the 8-to-12 age group. In this group, some Ukrainian kid (10 years old).
German guy comes up....gets all intense about German not being uttered, then gets onto the subject of supporting Russia, not the Ukraine.
Guy then grabs the 10-year old kid....throws him off the rail of the bridge...injuring to some degree on the head/leg....falling into the water.
On the positive side....it's not deep, so he's not in serious trouble, but then the German guy throws a glass bottle (beer bottle one must assume), and hits the kid.
The guy then walks off (disappears).
Kid was examined....not badly injured.Cops? They are interested in finding the guy.
I looked at the issue. Town of 30,000 folks. Based on the description....there's probably 3,000 guys in this age-group....if they really mounted an effort....they'd find the guy. I'm not that sure they want dig into the affair....probably would just make things worse.
Mostly booze talking/acting? Yeah, I'd guess that.
A sign of the times? I'd say between 10 and 20-percent of Germans are approaching a pro-Russia point,
