Five German News Stories

 1.  Heating pump law passed the Bundestag yesterday (Friday).  Odds of a legal challenge?  100-percent, and I'd suggest that various parts will be dissolved before the end of 2024.

Public sentiment?  You just don't find that many people thrilled, and I'd say half the population has a negative view of how this is supposed to work.

2.  Lithium find?  Well...in the past couple of days, it's figured that a fair amount can be mined.  Location?  Along the far southwest corner (against France).

3.  Germany's World-Cup basketball team advanced....beating the US.  Germans now in the finals.

4.  INSA poll....80-percent of Germans believe that political folks really don't know the hardships that the general public faces.

5.  WELT piece this AM.....belief now that when the baby-boomers finally retire in Germany.....the church-tax gimmick will collapse entirely.
